Deployments
What a deployment is, where the history lives, and how a rollback works.
A deployment is one change to the image a service runs: a deploy from source, a deploy of an image, or a rollback. Each one is recorded with who started it, how (console, CLI or agent) and when.
Where deployments appear
- Deployments in the side navigation lists every deployment in the project, newest first. A row stays after the service it deployed to is deleted, so the history is complete.
- Each web service has a Deployments tab with that service's history and the full deployment id, which you can copy for the CLI.
Roll back
On a service's Deployments tab, choose Roll back on an earlier deployment. Guidal redeploys that deployment's image. A rollback changes the running code, not your environment variables; revert those on the Environment tab if they changed too.
The steps are in Deploy with the dashboard.
